In this full-time role, you will contribute to building a secure, highly scalable, and reliable infrastructure that handles crucial financial operations for millions of members.
This position is well-suited for backend engineers who want to focus on high-performance APIs and mission-critical payment processing systems. You will work alongside infrastructure and quality assurance teams to deliver robust code while adhering to agile methodologies. Please note that individuals based in Seattle are expected to onboard in person at the San Francisco headquarters and participate in occasional business travel.
The base salary for this position ranges from $133,000 to $184,000 USD, with actual compensation depending on experience, skills, and geographic location. Full-time personnel may also qualify for bonuses, equity, and a comprehensive benefits package.
Responsibilities
- Design, test, develop, and deploy components for a new financial platform
- Deliver secure, reliable, and high-performance APIs and infrastructure
- Collaborate with infrastructure engineering to minimize operational overhead for deployed production systems
- Write thoroughly tested code and perform quality assurance alongside the QA team
- Participate in an on-call rotation, which may include responding to incidents outside standard working hours
- Execute agile methodologies and follow a test-driven development approach
Requirements
- At least 4 years of professional engineering experience
- Experience building backend systems
- Proficiency in Go
- Experience working with payment processing systems
