This position is well-suited for a meticulous risk professional eager to guide third-party relationships and strengthen overall program maturity.
In this function, the specialist will oversee vendor evaluations across the entire third-party risk lifecycle. Responsibilities include vetting initial questionnaires, coordinating deep due diligence with internal risk partners, and partnering closely with bank collaborators. The individual will guide business owners through program expectations, track remediation efforts, and assist with regulatory exams and internal audits.

Responsibilities
- Review and challenge Inherent Risk Questionnaires by collaborating with internal stakeholders
- Partner with cross-functional subject matter experts in Information Security, Privacy, Compliance, and Legal
- Perform business due diligence regarding corporate status, reputation, insurance, and background checks
- Handle assigned vendor assessments from start to finish and escalate potential concerns
- Facilitate vendor approvals with banking partners and monitor remediation steps
- Guide business owners on program expectations, policies, and process standards
- Contribute to program enhancements including process updates, reporting, and tooling improvements
- Assist with internal audits, regulatory exams, and bank oversight activities
Requirements
- Possess at least four years of experience in Third Party Risk Management, Vendor Risk Management, Operational Risk, Compliance, Audit, or related fields
- Demonstrate critical thinking skills to analyze information, spot inconsistencies, and make risk-based decisions
- Exhibit strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities across diverse teams
- Maintain organizational skills to handle multiple assessments and competing deadlines simultaneously
- Show prior experience contributing to risk program initiatives such as policy creation or process improvement
Qualifications
- Familiarity with regulatory expectations and interagency guidance for third-party risk management
- Background working within fintech, banking, financial services, or other regulated industries
- Experience utilizing Third Party Risk Management platforms, reporting solutions, and workflow tools
