The organization currently seeks a Carrier Deal Desk Manager to join its Commercial Finance team in supporting AMER supplier negotiations and wholesale trading transactions. This remote position suits an analytical finance professional capable of directing complex financial evaluations, designing deal structures, and presenting recommendations to company executives.
As part of the Finance team, this individual will partner with Carrier Relations to oversee deal economics, minimize financial exposure, and maintain approval quality. The position requires close collaboration across departments to resolve trade-offs, construct predictive financial models, and establish regional policy guardrails. While operating remotely, employees may occasionally report in person for team off-sites, customer meetings, or functional gatherings.
Responsibilities
- Manage financial diligence for valuable carrier agreements and wholesale transactions throughout AMER
- Analyze potential exposure concerning pricing, payment terms, regulatory pass-through fees, commitments, and cash flow
- Develop and test deal models reflecting various assumptions regarding volume, traffic mix, and rates
- Collaborate with Carrier Relations and Routing Operations to navigate financial deal approvals and outline trade-offs
- Escalate important exceptions to executive committees with concise recommendations
- Create and uphold regional financial guardrails, approval standards, and analysis practices
- Monitor post-signature commitments to identify risks and refine future deal strategies
- Mentor senior analysts regarding financial modeling and executive presentation
Requirements
- Minimum of eight years of experience working in strategic finance, commercial finance, procurement finance, pricing, Deal Desk, or related analytical fields involving complex agreements
- Proficiency in financial modeling with the ability to independently evaluate supplier economics and risk
- Demonstrated background leading financial strategy for high-stakes vendor negotiations
- Skill in influencing senior stakeholders and guiding ambiguous decisions toward resolution
- Experience creating analytical standards, approval processes, and coaching fellow analysts
- Familiarity with Salesforce or comparable workflow applications alongside enterprise financial platforms
Qualifications
- Background working with telecommunications carriers, CPaaS, wholesale messaging or voice, and carrier relations
- Understanding of supplier agreements, routing economics, and volume-based commercial structures
- Proficiency in Oracle systems
- Ability to speak Spanish or Portuguese
