The company is hiring an International Payroll Analyst to take charge of international payroll functions across the LATAM, EMEA, and APAC regions. Working remotely as an individual contributor, this role focuses on scaling global operations, ensuring adherence to local tax laws, and supporting an expanding workforce.
The position suits an analytical professional who can manage multi-country pay cycles, execute equity compensation processing, and handle complex data reconciliations. Reporting directly to the Senior Global Payroll Manager, the analyst collaborates with various internal departments including finance, human resources, legal, tax, treasury, equity, and internal audit. Key responsibilities include leading technology upgrades, establishing standard operating procedures, and overseeing external vendor performance to maintain accurate and timely employee payments.
Ideal candidates bring substantial experience in managing global payroll systems within fast-paced technology businesses. The role requires strong technical capabilities, familiarity with equity taxation, and effective cross-functional communication skills. Responsibilities
- Manage, audit, and execute multi-country payroll delivery across more than 15 international countries
- Oversee the complete payroll operating cadence, managing cutoffs, exceptions, and funding coordination
- Process international equity compensation including restricted stock units and stock options
- Act as a functional lead for payroll technology projects involving Workday automation and global platform implementations
- Partner with external providers and internal teams across legal, finance, people operations, and benefits
- Establish and enforce global payroll policies, SOX controls, and standard operating procedures
- Support strategic corporate initiatives such as mergers, acquisitions, and new market entries
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of progressive payroll operations experience within a high-growth, publicly traded technology company with a global footprint
- Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for complex data analysis, reconciliations, and audit modeling
- Thorough understanding of global equity taxation, statutory compliance, multi-currency distribution, and international labor laws
- Experience using Workday Payroll for reporting, configuration, and integrations
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree or equivalent practical experience in payroll, accounting, finance, human resources, or a related field
- Background in responding to internal, external, statutory, and financial audit requests
- Experience applying automation or AI tools to payroll operations, analytics, or case management
- History of providing customer service across multiple regions and time zones
