Coinbase is seeking a Finance & Strategy Analyst, Product to join its Product Finance FP&A team on a remote basis. The employer operates with a remote-first model that requires attendance at quarterly in-person work sessions known as surges. In this position, the professional will take ownership of financial storytelling for key revenue lines, including Consumer Trading, Developer, and Stablecoin offerings.
The person in this role will handle forecasting, variance analysis, and strategic insights for all expenses and revenues tied to these product groups. Daily responsibilities involve collaborating closely with teams across Accounting, Treasury, Investor Relations, Human Resources, Data, and Business Operations. The successful candidate will construct financial models and deliver data insights that guide leadership on performance drivers, risks, opportunities, and strategic priorities.

Responsibilities
- Handle revenue forecasting and variance tracking for Consumer Trading on a monthly schedule
- Oversee financial deliverables for Developer and Stablecoin offerings, incorporating revenue projections and expense budget monitoring
- Create and update driver-based financial models for trading, developer, and stablecoin expense and revenue categories
- Examine operational and financial data to detect anomalies, patterns, and opportunities independently
- Drive the month-end close cycle for assigned coverage areas through detailed variance reviews and collaboration with Accounting
- Deliver financial presentations during business reviews to translate complex data into actionable guidance for cross-functional partners
Requirements
- Possess two to four years of background in strategic finance, FP&A, or a related analytical field
- Demonstrate the capacity to independently build driver-based expense and revenue models
- Hold technical proficiency in SQL and advanced Excel for data analysis
- Show experience using planning platforms such as NetSuite, Anaplan, or Adaptive Insights
- Demonstrate a history of partnering with non-finance groups like Engineering, Product, and Operations
- Exhibit a track record of autonomously uncovering and escalating financial trends or risks to management
- Maintain accuracy in reconciliation workflows, variance analysis, and financial close procedures
- Apply generative AI responsibly while preserving human oversight for business-ready outputs
