Zoox is seeking a Technical Program Manager, Manufacturing, to take a central part in expanding vehicle production. This on-site, full-time position acts as a critical link across departments, guiding new manufacturing projects and working alongside external suppliers to create thorough validation strategies for vehicles and manufacturing processes. The professional in this role will guide multi-program production evaluations, establish project schedules, monitor financial projections, manage risk proactively, and deliver transparent progress reports to leadership and stakeholders.
This opportunity is well-suited for an individual with an engineering or management background who excels at connecting top-level business objectives with actionable timelines and deliverables. Daily activities involve partnering with groups such as Vehicle Engineering, Logistics, Vehicle Quality, Software, Manufacturing Diagnostics, and Fleet Operations to ensure operational milestones are successfully met. Candidates will also help support assembly and testing procedures, resolve blockers, and track resource needs alongside finance, engineering, and procurement departments.
Zoox builds advanced autonomous vehicle technology. Professionals joining the team will help drive launch readiness, coordinate the start of volume production, and maintain continuous cross-functional alignment through structured processes and clear communication.
Responsibilities
- Translate corporate strategy into detailed roadmaps, timelines, and deliverables
- Partner with engineering and suppliers to outline vehicle and manufacturing validation plans for crash builds
- Direct manufacturing strategies, assessments, and studies for various programs
- Coordinate launch readiness and the start of production
- Support assembly and test operations by ensuring cross-functional alignment and resolving roadblocks
- Collaborate with finance, engineering, procurement, and PMO teams to track resource needs
- Establish processes and maintain communication regarding deliverables and risks
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree in an engineering or management discipline
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing program management
- Background in industrial manufacturing fields such as automotive, aerospace, or robotics
- Experience integrating manufacturing with functions like logistics, quality, and design engineering
- Track record of managing complex cross-functional projects
Qualifications
- Experience coordinating vehicle and manufacturing validation activities with external partners and suppliers
- Ability to build working relationships with senior leaders and engineers
