This position requires on-site presence for collaboration one to two times per quarter.
The person in this role will guide multi-year initiatives surrounding account security, anti-abuse measures, age verification, and protection for vulnerable demographics such as teenagers. Working across engineering, product management, legal, data science, and policy groups, the chosen candidate will direct major company-wide strategies from initial concept through deployment and maintenance. Responsibilities
- Manage multi-year strategic plans and execution timelines for user identity protection and account safety spanning registration to routine usage.
- Oversee complex programs involving multiple departments, such as modernizing account access, reinforcing recovery procedures, and mitigating automated bot activity.
- Collaborate alongside safety, policy, and product teams to build defenses against fraud, scams, deceptive patterns, and commercial abuse.
- Drive cross-functional efforts focused on age detection systems, age-appropriate user experiences, and adherence to youth safety regulations.
- Serve as a primary domain consultant for senior software engineers, data scientists, and product managers regarding security and abuse architecture.
- Design and execute lightweight governance structures including status reviews, health assessments, and incident debriefs.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators connecting engineering tasks to tangible security results like reduced account takeovers and spam.
- Incorporate generative artificial intelligence into daily operational tasks to streamline planning documentation and decision summaries.
Requirements
- Minimum of eight years of professional background in technical program management or comparable duties leading large cross-functional engineering initiatives.
- Background working within trust and safety, information security, digital identity, integrity, anti-fraud, account access, or privacy domains at consumer or enterprise scale.
- Capacity to quickly grasp intricate technical systems and collaborate smoothly with experienced engineering staff.
- Demonstrated ability to structure and execute multi-quarter projects involving numerous teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in program governance practices including charters, milestones, risk tracking, and metrics management.
- Familiarity with industry standards surrounding account defense, abuse mitigation, and integrity measurement.
- Proven capability to leverage generative artificial intelligence to enhance operational speed and output quality.
- Comfort utilizing basic data tools and partnering with data science experts to analyze safety metrics.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities suited for audiences ranging from executives to operations personnel.
