In this full-time role during standard Monday through Friday business hours, the intern will work closely with mentors, product managers, designers, data scientists, and fellow engineers. The position involves executing scoped technical tasks from start to finish, delivering tested and well-documented code, and contributing to production-oriented projects that support the organization's goals. This opportunity is designed for individuals currently enrolled in a school or educational program working toward a relevant degree. Candidates must be able to work from the Toronto office 2 to 3 weekdays per week and remain within a commutable distance. Responsibilities

  • Finish assigned technical projects with attention to quality while integrating feedback from peers, managers, and mentors.
  • Handle scoped technical tasks from end to end that support Pinterest products and infrastructure.
  • Write and deliver code that is thoroughly tested, operable, and well-documented.
  • Share ideas and questions respectfully while building professional and technical skills.
  • Collaborate with team members on production-oriented projects that align with company objectives.
  • Participate in intern program events and connect with colleagues and leaders across the company.

Requirements

  • Current enrollment in a school or education program pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • Expected completion of the Bachelor's degree by June 2029.
  • Demonstrated understanding of computer science fundamentals, including algorithms and data structures.
  • Familiarity with using AI as an iterative coding partner and learning tool while exercising judgment regarding accuracy and security.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Go, or C++.
  • Ability to work onsite in the Toronto office 2 to 3 days per week and live within a commutable distance.
