As a Staff Software Engineer within the Unified Services Platform, you will join the Application Engineering division. This group manages the technological framework that empowers Sales and Customer Experience operations. Your daily tasks will combine architectural leadership, software engineering, and artificial intelligence tools to address complex business needs.
This position suits a senior technologist who excels at translating vague requests into dependable, scalable enterprise systems. Responsibilities
- Design, construct, and support Apex software solutions on the Salesforce platform for Sales and CX divisions
- Utilize artificial intelligence coding assistants across the software development lifecycle to create, examine, troubleshoot, and document code
- Manage ongoing enhancements to released features and evaluate their operational impact
- Implement Salesforce architecture standards along with release management best practices using the sf CLI tool
- Develop clean, maintainable, and thoroughly documented codebases
- Build, test, and troubleshoot large-scale production systems, with a focus on real-time, event-driven, or high-throughput environments
- Contribute to software projects outside of the Salesforce environment when necessary
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years of professional software engineering experience
- At least 4 years of hands-on Salesforce development experience utilizing Apex
- Familiarity with Salesforce platform architecture, sf CLI, and change management best practices
- Daily utilization of AI coding assistants throughout the development lifecycle
- Ability to write maintainable code in Salesforce as well as external codebases
- Demonstrated history of building and testing reliable production systems at scale
- Capability to convert ambiguous business requirements into practical technological solutions
- Ability to travel for two days to a company location for initial onboarding
- Adherence to hybrid office presence rules requiring work from a physical facility approximately two to three days weekly
