Job Description

Affirm is seeking a Staff Product Manager to lead the development and launch of Affirm Bank, a foundational business line within the organization. Total compensation packages incorporate base pay, equity rewards, monthly stipends for health, wellness, and technology expenses, and fully subsidized medical, dental, and vision insurance for employees and their dependents. The employer maintains an inclusive interview process and accommodates candidates with disabilities upon request.

  • Coordinate with legal, compliance, risk, and executive leadership to ensure operational and regulatory readiness
  • Select and integrate external vendors covering deposit core, fraud, and KYC systems
  • Communicate strategy, progress, and trade-offs to senior leadership, the Bank Board, and cross-functional teams

Requirements

  • Have at least 6 years of product management experience
  • Demonstrate the ability to operate as a strategic, independent leader on complex and ambiguous initiatives
  • Possess experience launching or growing a regulated consumer-facing product within the financial services sector
  • Show proven program leadership at scale through high-visibility, cross-functional launches involving multiple stakeholders and direct exposure to leadership
  • Demonstrate strong technical fluency with system design, data models, API architecture, and core banking platform integrations
  • Exhibit exceptional written and verbal communication skills to explain complex regulatory and financial concepts to diverse audiences
  • Display proficiency with AI-assisted tools such as Claude and Cursor

Qualifications

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or possess equivalent practical experience
