This internship lasts between 12 and 16 weeks and is situated in San Francisco, operating on a remote basis.
Interns at Affirm function as contributing members of the engineering group, taking responsibility for building and deploying real projects that affect production environments. Rather than working on isolated assignments, interns develop solutions that their teams depend on. Participants are paired with a dedicated mentor who provides regular feedback and guidance. At the conclusion of the term, participants present their completed work to the broader engineering department.

Responsibilities
- Develop and ship code into production environments
- Collaborate with a manager and mentor to establish project specifications

Requirements
- Passion for improving consumer banking
- Familiarity with object oriented programming
- Ability to work remotely within the United States
Qualifications
- Experience using Python, Java, or C/C++
- Frontend development background utilizing React, AngularJS, JavaScript, or WebApps
- Background in testing and deployment frameworks
- Knowledge of API development and documentation
- Familiarity with AWS or other PaaS platforms
