Responsibilities

  • Maintain strict standards for data consistency, reliability, and integrity across all analytical outputs to guide strategic choices.
  • Serve as an influential advisor and strategic thought partner to product managers and engineering leaders while establishing analytical roadmaps.
  • Liaise with finance and business operations teams to link revenue performance data with product actions and metrics.
  • Present intricate data findings and strategic insights clearly to technical and senior non-technical leadership.
  • Mentor the broader data science community by sharing best practices in strategic thinking, communication, and analysis.

Requirements

  • Possess at least 8 years of combined post-graduate academic and industry experience applying advanced analytical methods to large-scale data in tech environments.
  • Demonstrate strong product sense and business acumen with a history of translating high-level strategy into actionable analytical frameworks.
  • Bring familiarity with the advertising ecosystem, real-time bidding, or monetization mechanics alongside an interest in financial dynamics.
  • Show expertise in data democratization, including the design and maintenance of foundational datasets and business intelligence solutions.
  • Apply solid fundamentals in statistics, experimentation, and causal inference techniques.
  • Exhibit the ability to influence cross-functional partners and senior leadership using data narratives.
  • Maintain proficiency in Python, SQL, and data visualization software such as Looker or Tableau.
  • Work on-site in San Francisco, Seattle, or Palo Alto for in-person collaboration one day per week.
