Job Description

Twilio is looking for a Senior, Business Intelligence Engineer to join its Go-To-Market Data Science and Analytics team. This full-time, remote position focuses on transitioning traditional business intelligence toward artificial intelligence capabilities by establishing reliable business data models and semantic layers.

Twilio builds communications solutions utilized by developers and businesses globally. This role suits professionals who want to advance the strategic value of company data and improve sales analytics and reporting. The successful candidate will help shift the organization toward modern BI-as-Code practices.

While this position is primarily remote, occasional travel may be necessary for team gatherings, functional off-sites, or customer meetings. Please note that individuals residing in CA, CT, NJ, NY, PA, WA are ineligible for hire into this remote role.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze large datasets using advanced analytical techniques to generate actionable insights for revenue operations
  • Build and maintain automated data reconciliation and quality checks to guarantee accuracy across reports and dashboards
  • Design and develop data models supporting Go-To-Market strategies and strategic decision-making
  • Construct compelling visualizations to communicate complex data insights clearly
  • Automate business intelligence ecosystems by managing dashboards and semantic layers as code utilizing Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing
  • Partner with departments such as Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Product to gather business requirements and deliver analytical support
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities for data quality, reporting workflows, and analytics tools

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of professional background in business intelligence, data engineering, analytics engineering, or related fields
  • Advanced SQL expertise paired with hands-on experience in data model design
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define, document, and reconcile core business metrics
  • Practical background in implementing data quality frameworks, data observability, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong technical communication and mentorship capabilities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master degree in a quantitative field like Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, or Engineering
  • Direct prior background supporting sales analytics or Go-To-Market operations within a SaaS environment
  • Familiarity with business intelligence platforms such as Tableau for executive reporting
  • Software engineering practices applied to data workflows, including automated testing and code reviews
  • Experience utilizing code-based BI or semantic tools including dbt, Looker, LookML, Cube.js, or Apache Superset
  • Proficiency with Git version control and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins
  • Exposure to AI tools such as Gemini, Claude, Glean, or Cortex
  • Familiarity with Go-To-Market technology stacks like Salesforce and Gong
  • Track record of fostering data culture within a rapid technology environment
