Cloudflare is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead its Governance, Risk, and Compliance initiative, focusing initially on the Department of Defense Impact Level 4 project. Cloudflare operates a global network designed to protect and accelerate internet applications without requiring hardware, software changes, or code modifications. In this role, you will define, align, and execute complex security and compliance programs, manage stakeholder expectations, and handle risk management across global time zones.

This position is ideal for a process-oriented professional who can balance long-term compliance strategies with urgent security needs while operating in ambiguous environments. You will collaborate closely with engineering, business, and security teams, utilizing artificial intelligence and automation tools to handle routine administrative tasks and consolidate roadmaps.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Governance, Risk, and Compliance team as their dedicated Technical Program Manager
  • Lead the integrated roadmap, milestones, dependencies, and execution cadence for the IL4 initiative
  • Communicate with stakeholders to encourage collaboration and maintain alignment
  • Establish program operating rhythms including roadmaps, governance forums, decision logs, risk registers, communication plans, and executive reporting
  • Build automations and AI agents to manage routine administrative tasks at scale
  • Use AI platforms to unify project streams into single roadmaps and generate initial metrics, status updates, and dashboards
  • Identify tradeoffs early and apply risk-based judgment to balance long-term compliance with immediate security priorities

Requirements

  • Have 8 or more years of experience in technical program management within a fast-moving, technical environment
  • Demonstrate a track record of creating realistic project plans, managing dependencies, and overseeing execution
  • Possess working knowledge of federal cybersecurity and authorization frameworks like NIST SP 800-53, RMF, FedRAMP, and DoD SRGs
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholder levels, including executives
  • Demonstrate hands-on experience or strong competency with AI productivity tools and development platforms while applying human-in-the-loop reviews
  • Work comfortably with tight deadlines, changing priorities, ambiguity, and multiple global time zones
  • Use development methodologies and tools such as Confluence and Jira

Qualifications

  • Hold a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, or a related field, or possess equivalent experience
  • Bring cybersecurity or security program management experience from a technical and fast-paced setting
