The Ads Delivery Infrastructure group is currently modernizing and scaling its real-time indexing, retrieval, serving, and budgeting systems to support billions of catalog items for shopping and advertising initiatives. To support this ongoing technological upgrade, the organization is seeking a Sr. Technical Program Manager, Ads Delivery Infrastructure on a full-time basis.
This position fits professionals who have extensive experience leading technical, cross-functional programs within distributed environments and who embrace modern generative artificial intelligence workflows. In this capacity, the selected individual will coordinate complex engineering migrations, oversee risk and dependencies, and partner closely with monetization and product groups. The operating model heavily integrates generative artificial intelligence tools for program artifact creation, workflow automation, and data-driven decision making, all while adhering to internal safety and compliance governance.
While the role does not require relocation assistance, the position operates under a flexible working model that requires on-site presence for collaboration once or twice every six months. Compensation includes a base salary paired with equity opportunities, determined by factors such as geographical location and prior expertise.
Responsibilities
- Steer initiatives that expand catalog, indexing, and retrieval systems to handle billions of items alongside engineering leads
- Drive execution across teams for infrastructure upgrades, managing timelines, dependencies, and risks
- Develop and sustain progress dashboards for stakeholders across engineering and business operations
- Collaborate with engineering teams on reliability and incident mitigation for serving systems tied to revenue
- Explain technical choices and project tracking clearly to diverse stakeholders ranging from individual engineers to senior executives
- Utilize generative artificial intelligence as a primary operating mechanism to draft program artifacts and streamline workflows
- Prototype internal tools and process helpers using artificial intelligence coding assistants
- Apply company safety and governance guidelines to validate artificial intelligence outputs and handle sensitive data securely
Requirements
- Accumulate at least 5 years of product ownership or technical program management experience leading cross-functional technical initiatives
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of large-scale retrieval, indexing, or serving systems and their associated scaling tradeoffs
- Possess analytical and problem-solving abilities to build dashboards and interpret data for decision-making
- Maintain collaborative and communication capabilities in high-visibility settings with senior stakeholders
- Exhibit comfort handling ambiguity and shifting priorities within dynamic roadmaps
- Demonstrate willingness to learn and grow across monetization and data infrastructure domains
- Operate within artificial intelligence governance expectations for risk assessment, data handling, and output validation
- Meet on-site collaboration requirements of one to two visits every six months while being based anywhere in the country
Qualifications
- Gain prior experience with ads, monetization, or data infrastructure
- Hold a Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or possess equivalent experience
