The company is currently hiring a Sr. Software Engineer - Full Stack to join its Monetization engineering group. In this position, the selected professional will handle user interface development for monetization offerings, creating ad-creation workflows that support new AI-driven ad formats. Additionally, the engineer will construct full-stack capabilities geared toward consumers to advance the platform's visual discovery mission.
This opportunity is well-suited for inquisitive developers who enjoy tackling complex challenges and collaborating across disciplines. Candidates will work closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineering teams to design, build, and scale features for millions of users. Pinterest utilizes an operational framework known as PinFlex, which blends remote flexibility with mandatory in-person collaboration sessions 1 to 2 times per half. Responsibilities
- Manage the user interface development lifecycle for monetization products, encompassing the design, architecture, and deployment of ad-creation workflows for AI-driven ad formats
- Construct full-stack consumer-facing features to support visual discovery
- Lead and contribute to all phases of product development from initial ideation through implementation and release
- Execute rapid prototyping, conduct A/B testing, and architect scalable solutions that support millions of users
- Collaborate alongside design, product, and backend teams to deliver end-to-end functionality
- Propose novel product ideas and features from the user perspective
- Implement automated testing to ensure technical quality and take responsibility for developed components
- Collaborate with peers on high-impact projects
Requirements
- Accumulate at least 4 years of professional full-stack development experience building consumer-facing or business-facing products
- Demonstrate the ability to construct scalable web UIs utilizing React, TypeScript, Redux, GraphQL, and REST APIs
- Show proficiency in popular frontend and full-stack technology stacks including JavaScript, APIs, storage, caching, and data processing
- Apply best practices for writing maintainable and reliable code
- Fulfill the in-office collaboration requirement of 1 to 2 times per half while based in Ontario
Qualifications
- Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or possess equivalent practical experience
