Pinterest seeks a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to support tvScientific, a connected TV advertising platform built for performance marketers. In this on-site San Francisco position, the engineer will help maintain, scale, and elevate a cloud-native infrastructure ecosystem. The role suits a hands-on technical professional experienced in managing production environments using modern automation techniques and container orchestration.
The platform relies on AWS, Kubernetes, EKS, and ArgoCD to deliver advertising tools that combine measurement, attribution, and media buying. The incoming engineer will focus on improving system availability, reducing manual operational tasks, advancing observability practices, and collaborating closely with security, application, and platform teams.

Responsibilities
- Ensure uptime, performance, and reliability of platform services and production infrastructure
- Administer and scale Kubernetes clusters, including multi-tenant workload support and governance
- Oversee GitOps deployment pipelines utilizing Helm and ArgoCD
- Provision infrastructure and manage change control through Terraform and Terragrunt
- Develop and maintain deployment workflows and CI/CD automation via GitHub Actions
- Direct incident management, post-incident reviews, and root cause investigations
- Automate processes and tooling to minimize operational toil
- Expand observability across metrics, logs, alerting, traces, and dashboards
- Implement platform guardrails, IAM-compliant operations, and secure secrets management
- Collaborate with security, platform, and application engineering teams to optimize delivery and reliability
Requirements
- Minimum of four years of professional background in Cloud Infrastructure, DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering
- Production-level operational experience with AWS environments
- Extensive background in Kubernetes administration, troubleshooting, and workload reliability
- Familiarity with Kubernetes multi-tenant isolation, RBAC, quotas, and namespaces
- Hands-on practice operating ArgoCD within a GitOps framework
- Proficiency with Helm
- Competency with Terraform or Terragrunt for environment setup and infrastructure management
- Coding abilities in Python or Bash for scripting and automation
- Experience configuring and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
- Troubleshooting expertise spanning Linux operating systems, containers, networking, IAM, and distributed systems
- Capacity to utilize AI tools responsibly to increase workflow productivity while verifying outputs
