The Robot Software Infrastructure team seeks a software engineer to contribute to the operating system platform powering vehicle functions like Autonomy systems. This position involves creating platform-level software that facilitates hardware-accelerated workloads on automotive-grade hardware.

Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain comprehensive continuous integration and validation toolchains for operating system platforms utilized on the Robotaxi and on-bot applications.
- Architect and implement platform-level software to foster scalable and robust robot software infrastructure.
- Set up and oversee embedded Linux build systems, including Yocto, alongside bootloader processes such as U-Boot for dependable system startup and upkeep.
- Write and refine device drivers and kernel-space elements using C, C++, or Rust to fulfill reliability and performance standards.
- Partner across departments to facilitate smooth OS platform integration and delivery, investigate problems, and assist with new hardware bring-up and manufacturing operations.
Requirements
- Have a minimum of four years of experience shipping production software applications and systems.
- Design and implement end-to-end continuous integration and validation toolchains to test Linux and OS images across various hardware platforms for production releases.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Linux internals, encompassing filesystems, init systems, containerization, kernel-space work, systems programming in C or C++, and scripting using Python or Bash.
- Possess strong verbal and written communication abilities.
Qualifications
- Hold a bachelor's degree or have equivalent practical experience.
- Bring experience working with embedded Linux in robotics environments.
- Possess familiarity with security software elements including secure boot, PKI, hardware key storage, and OTA software updates.
- Have familiarity with Nvidia GPUs, Nvidia Orin or Thor, Cuda, and TRT.
- Hold a graduate degree concentrating on operating systems, networking, or firmware.
