As part of the consumer experience pillar, your day-to-day work will center on delivering user-facing features starting from the home hub in the web and mobile applications. Affirm operates as a remote-first workplace, offering flexibility alongside an in-person onboarding experience for all new hires. Depending on your geographic location within the United States, the annual base salary ranges from $146,000 to $225,000.
Responsibilities
- Break down complex projects into individual tasks and deliver them across multiple phases with guidance from leadership
- Partner with product management, design, and analytics teams during the ideation and decision-making phases
- Monitor system metrics, manage operations and availability, and handle on-call responsibilities
- Participate in team growth activities, including the engineering interview process
Requirements
- At least 1.5 years of professional experience as a software engineer
- Practical background shipping web applications using declarative frameworks such as Vue or React
- Experience developing mobile applications utilizing cross-platform or native languages like React Native
- Demonstrated experience designing, launching, and building APIs at scale with Python or Kotlin
- Proficiency in navigating large codebases, conducting code reviews, and writing extensible, well-tested code
