In this position, the selected engineer will direct analytics engineering personnel, establish testing and tracking standards, and develop scalable insights tooling. Responsibilities
- Manage and mentor a diverse analytics engineering team within an inclusive environment
- Formulate and communicate standard methodologies for instrumentation and experimentation to product engineering groups
- Create and iterate on artificial intelligence tools and analysis pipelines to deliver insights at scale
- Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to build self-service mechanisms for key datasets and metric investigations
- Produce detailed documentation for tools and datasets while guiding data democratization strategies
- Partner cross-functionally with researchers, designers, engineers, and product managers to support future platform experiences
Requirements
- Six or more years of data-focused professional experience within a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in SQL or alternative database languages, alongside scripting languages such as Python or R
- Experience managing complex datasets involving nested structures, window functions, query optimization, and partitioning
- Background executing workflow orchestration and ETL or ELT operations with large directed acyclic graph data dependencies
- Demonstrated ability to utilize artificial intelligence for workflow speed and quality alongside rigorous verification practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree, Master degree, or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent experience
- Prior background in automation, anomaly detection, or infrastructure and workflow optimization
- Experience developing internal tooling designed to enhance engineering velocity
