The Edge team currently seeks a Software Engineer, CDN to contribute to the creation of functional systems that enhance overall product and customer experiences.
This position involves collaborating closely with product groups and backend engineering colleagues to spot issues while building necessary automation and tooling. Professionals in this role will design architectures, write code, and troubleshoot production environments. The Edge team handles routing, deployment, and serving capabilities utilizing both internal resources and external cloud providers for caching, networking, TLS termination, storage, and edge services.
Candidates living near the New York or San Francisco offices will work in-office on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays, while individuals residing further away operate on a fully remote basis. Applicants should possess a collaborative mindset and an interest in securing platforms against abuse while managing massive volumes of web traffic and data.
Responsibilities
- Scale and improve infrastructure, availability, and reliability
- Collaborate with backend engineers and product teams to identify problems
- Create tooling and automation
- Design systems, write code, and debug systems in production
- Orchestrate deploying, routing, and serving for customers using internal and cloud provider infrastructure
Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant experience
- Deep experience scaling high performance systems in the cloud
- Knowledge and experience with web servers and network protocols
- Comfortable working in Golang
- Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS or Google Cloud
