The company is hiring a backend-leaning Software Engineer to design, construct, and support scalable systems.

This position is suited for professionals experienced in cloud-native database management, JavaScript, and AWS who want to create innovative user and membership tools. Depending on where candidates live, the setup can be fully remote or require designated in-office days in San Francisco, New York, London, or Berlin.

In this function, the engineer will build secure, reliable enterprise software, maintain high-scale services through on-call rotations, and work alongside cross-functional partners to execute large projects. The role involves utilizing infrastructure-as-code tools, developing REST APIs, and implementing identity lifecycle solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and support scalable systems using JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, SQL, NoSQL databases, and AWS
  • Partner with cross-functional and peer teams to deliver large-scale projects meeting industry standards
  • Operate and maintain high-scale services, including participation in scheduled on-call rotations
  • Create identity synchronization and lifecycle management solutions utilizing SCIM and related standards
  • Build high-availability applications using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and Kubernetes
  • Develop enterprise software using TypeScript, REST APIs, and JSON

Requirements

  • Proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, and SQL
  • Knowledge of security architecture, LDAP, Active Directory, SAML, SSO, OAuth2, and OpenID Connect
  • Familiarity with web protocols including XML, SOAP, JSON, and REST
  • Understanding of access control models such as RBAC, ABAC, and ReBAC
  • Practical background in writing and improving Node.js applications
