Zoox is currently seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager specializing in Verification and Validation to help advance its full-stack autonomous mobility solutions. In this full-time, hybrid position, the program manager will collaborate across multiple engineering disciplines to transform high-level corporate strategies into actionable, detailed operational roadmaps.
This role suits professionals who excel at bridging the gap between top-down corporate milestones and tactical engineering execution. The selected candidate will partner closely with Autonomy V&V engineering managers to map out timelines, monitor project health, estimate budgets, and maintain transparent progress reports. Responsibilities also include supporting software and data engineering teams to establish advanced evaluation pipelines utilizing statistics and simulation, developing scalable systems to assess autonomy behavior, and proactively mitigating operational risks.
Zoox provides an environment where leaders can unblock cross-functional teams, track test coverage, and drive bug resolutions. Candidates will interact regularly with engineering leadership to maintain clear oversight of complex technical systems.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Autonomy V&V engineering managers to convert corporate strategies into specific product roadmaps, schedules, and deliverables
- Support software and data engineers in establishing advanced evaluation pipelines utilizing simulation, statistics, and other methodologies
- Contribute to the creation of scalable systems designed to assess autonomy behavior at Zoox
- Identify operational gaps, escalate risks proactively, manage bug closure, and track test coverage alongside cross-functional stakeholders
- Act as a primary resource for engineering leadership to unblock teams and facilitate effective solutions
Requirements
- Minimum of six years of engineering program management experience
- Demonstrated ability to successfully manage intricate cross-functional projects and solve complex problems
- Strong capability to maintain a broad strategic perspective while delivering clear, concise, and structured communications to diverse audiences
- Thorough familiarity with software development lifecycles and proficiency in project management tools such as Gantt charts, risk matrices, JIRA, and Smartsheet
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, including the ability to visualize key performance indicators and program risks
Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master of Science degree in computer science, engineering, or an equivalent professional background
- Prior background working with artificial intelligence, machine learning, autonomous vehicles, computer vision, large language models, reinforcement learning, or simulation
- Familiarity with automotive or aerospace industry processes
- Experience contributing to complex safety-critical systems
