Zoox is currently seeking a Senior/Staff Technical Program Manager specializing in Artificial Intelligence to help drive its full-stack autonomous mobility solution for urban environments. Operating within a hybrid work model, this full-time role places the individual at the intersection of robotics, machine learning, and design, building the ecosystem necessary to launch a ground-up autonomous vehicle fleet. Responsibilities
- Translate top-down corporate strategies and milestones into detailed product roadmaps, timelines, and deliverables alongside Autonomy engineering managers
- Drive cross-functional teams across Autonomy to build and execute solutions aimed at enhancing driving behavior
- Collaborate with engineering to establish underlying measurements and datasets for Driving Behavior KPIs
- Identify potential project risks and proactively create risk-mitigating actions
- Develop and deliver executive presentations regarding program status, issues, risks, and accomplishments
- Work with engineering teams to establish project schedules, set milestones, track budgets, and communicate ongoing progress
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience in engineering program management
- Background working with AI/ML, autonomous vehicles, computer vision, large language models, reinforcement learning, simulation, and/or automotive or aerospace processes
- Demonstrated track record of handling complex cross-functional projects and problem solving
- Capacity to maintain a big-picture focus while providing clear, structured, and concise communications tailored to specific audiences
- Deep familiarity with software development processes and project management tools such as Gantt charts, risk matrices, Smartsheet, and JIRA
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, including the ability to visualize KPIs and program risks
Qualifications
- BS or MS degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent job experience
- Experience developing and scaling strategy, processes, plans, procedures, reporting, and handling escalations
- Strong references highlighting the ability to build collaborative relationships with senior leaders, program managers, and cross-functional engineers
