This position involves constructing a comprehensive user representation layer that influences discovery, feeds, searches, notifications, and advertising.
The role is suited for engineering professionals who possess extensive experience in large-scale machine learning systems and recommender frameworks. The selected candidate will define the technical strategy for user modeling, incorporate generative artificial intelligence and large language models into existing architectures, and balance performance against latency and infrastructure costs.
Working remotely, the engineer will partner closely with various product, infrastructure, and machine learning groups across the organization. Responsibilities include guiding technical decisions, conducting design reviews, and mentoring senior personnel. Responsibilities
- Design a unified user understanding strategy and technical vision
- Build advanced user models for sequence-based and multi-interest learning

Requirements
