Spotify is seeking a remote Senior Product Quality Analyst to join its Voice Production Team within the Personalization division in New York or Los Angeles. In this position, the professional establishes and oversees the quality standards for artificial intelligence voice models, ensuring the technology satisfies specific company needs and performs effectively across various products and languages.
This role suits an independent evaluator who can create repeatable rubrics for subjective voice characteristics such as tone, pacing, pronunciation, and naturalness. The professional collaborates closely with machine learning engineers, creative voice specialists, and external vendors to assess performance, compare models against competitors, and guide future technical research. While the arrangement offers the flexibility to work from home, periodic in-person gatherings take place in New York or Los Angeles.
Responsibilities
- Determine the quality standard for artificial intelligence voice models across different products, languages, and use cases
- Create independent evaluation rubrics to measure naturalness, tone, pacing, pronunciation, accent, and general user experience
- Execute evaluation campaigns and convert qualitative and quantitative insights into actionable recommendations for product and voice teams
- Establish a recurring assessment rhythm to monitor model quality as technology and products evolve
- Benchmark company voice models against competitor offerings to identify performance gaps and areas for enhancement
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to maintain consistent quality standards despite competing priorities
- Help define appropriate quality compromises during expansion into new regional markets and languages
Requirements
- Experience in product quality, evaluation, data curation, or a related domain involving human judgment for performance assessment
- Ability to independently establish evaluation criteria and translate subjective qualities into structured rubrics
- Competence in designing and executing qualitative and MOS-style evaluations while synthesizing actionable takeaways
- Familiarity with voice or audio quality metrics such as naturalness, pacing, and tone, or the capacity to learn quickly
- Capacity to work autonomously, set evaluation processes, and serve as a reliable point of contact for partners and vendors
