Spotify is hiring a Senior Product Quality Analyst for its Personalization and Voice Production teams in London. Spotify creates features that help listeners discover music and podcasts easily. The Voice Production Team handles artificial intelligence voice experiences like the AI DJ, Generative AI Ads, Personalized Podcasts, and Agent Voice Chat by combining casting, direction, recording, and production expertise.
In this full-time remote role, the professional will establish and manage the quality benchmarks for Spotify artificial intelligence voice models. The position involves designing evaluation frameworks to assess attributes such as tone, pacing, pronunciation, accent, naturalness, and overall audio quality. The analyst will compare Spotify technology against third-party competitors, establish testing rhythms, and help guide technical decisions across various languages and regional markets.
This position suits someone experienced in product quality, data curation, or model evaluation who can translate human judgment into structured metrics. The individual must be capable of working independently while collaborating with machine learning engineers, voice specialists, product groups, and external vendors. Responsibilities
- Define what acceptable quality means across different products, languages, audiences, and use cases for AI voice models
- Design evaluation rubrics independently to measure metrics like naturalness, pacing, tone, pronunciation, accent, and audio quality
- Execute evaluation campaigns and translate qualitative and quantitative data into recommendations for product, Speak, and Voice Production teams
- Establish regular evaluation schedules to reassess model quality as technology advances
- Benchmark internal AI voices against competitor and third-party models
- Determine quality trade-offs when expanding into new regional markets and languages
- Collaborate with voice experts, vendors, machine learning engineers, and product partners to maintain quality standards
- Identify model performance gaps to influence future technical and research priorities
Requirements
- Experience in product quality, data curation, evaluation, or a related domain involving human judgment of product performance
- Ability to independently establish evaluation criteria and create repeatable assessment rubrics
- Experience designing and conducting qualitative and MOS-style evaluations
- Understanding of voice or audio quality metrics such as tone, accent, pronunciation, pacing, and naturalness
- Strong judgment to balance competing stakeholder perspectives, market needs, and product requirements
- Ability to work autonomously, set evaluation processes, and determine evaluation needs over time
- Clear communication skills across technical, creative, and product teams, acting as a contact point for internal and external partners
- Familiarity with generative AI, speech technology, and the broader AI voice landscape
