GuidePoint Security is looking for a remote, full-time Security Architect specializing in Active Directory and Entra ID to spearhead its identity and access management operations across the United States. Operating as a privately held cybersecurity value-added reseller established in 2011, the employer assists Fortune 500 companies and government agencies in mitigating risk and optimizing technical resources. This professional will helm identity solutions from inception through technical documentation, handle security evaluations, and collaborate with cloud security and threat assessment groups.
This position is well-suited for an experienced information security professional who excels at designing complex identity infrastructures, automating administrative workflows through scripting, and enforcing security controls across hybrid cloud and on-premises directory services. Candidates should expect up to 10 percent travel and must be capable of performing sedentary computer work for at least eight hours per day.
Responsibilities
- Design and map out technical requirements, solutions, and deployment roadmaps for Active Directory and Azure Active Directory
- Establish and enforce identity and access management standards, policies, and regulatory compliance protocols
- Evaluate the existing cloud environment to discover operational challenges and engineer solutions for improvement
- Maintain, configure, and optimize on-premises Active Directory infrastructure including domain controllers, GPOs, and DNS
- Deploy and manage multi-factor authentication and security best practices across user accounts and devices
- Develop integrations and write custom scripts utilizing the Microsoft Graph API for automation and data retrieval
- Write advanced PowerShell scripts to manage resource provisioning, service configurations, and reporting
Requirements
- At least 10 years of professional background in IT architecture and IT security
- Minimum of 7 years of hands-on involvement with Active Directory infrastructure and architecture
- At least 5 years of practice with identity and access management technologies and methodologies
- Minimum of 3 years of experience focusing on Azure Active Directory architecture and design
- Demonstrated expertise managing Azure AD and Entra configurations, hybrid environments, and migrations
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Graph API and PowerShell scripting
- Enterprise or Domain Admin and Azure Global Admin operational capabilities
Qualifications
- Possession of the CISSP certification
- Possession of the CISM certification
- Holding the Microsoft Certified Identity and Access Administrator Associate credential
