In this position, the professional will shape the search product vision and roadmap, collaborate with executive leadership, and build innovative tools that assist users in finding ideas and purchasing items.
This role suits an experienced product professional with a background in artificial intelligence and machine learning who thrives in ambiguous environments. The ideal candidate will combine data analysis, qualitative user insights, and intuition to direct product decisions. Daily work involves partnering closely with engineering, data science, design, research, marketing, legal, and strategy departments to execute search initiatives.
Pinterest maintains a flexible working model called PinFlex, and this role requires the employee to be in the office for in-person collaboration one to two times per quarter, allowing the candidate to reside anywhere in the country. The position is US-based only, does not qualify for relocation assistance, and offers a base salary range alongside equity eligibility.
Responsibilities
- Formulate and execute a comprehensive search strategy and roadmap in collaboration with executive leadership, product teams, engineering, and design stakeholders.
- Design innovative search features tailored to user intent that help individuals discover ideas, browse products, and locate items to purchase.
- Analyze and test hypotheses to elevate the overall quality of the search experience.
- Collaborate across engineering, data science, design, research, marketing, legal, and strategy teams to define metrics and drive project execution.
Requirements
- Demonstrated background in product management or related fields at fast-growing companies, specifically working on artificial intelligence or machine learning products.
- Strong product sense with the ability to secure stakeholder alignment and establish a long-term vision.
- Proven capacity to lead within ambiguous settings and coordinate across multiple functions to deliver results on schedule.
- Solid analytical proficiency to shape product strategy, evaluate trade-offs, and utilize data insights alongside user feedback.
