In this position, the professional will focus on designing, building, and maintaining scalable machine learning infrastructure to power notification personalization, targeting, ranking, and relevance across various channels such as push, email, and in-app alerts. The role involves developing end-to-end machine learning pipelines from data ingestion and feature computation to training, evaluation, production deployment, and online serving. Responsibilities
- Design and maintain scalable machine learning infrastructure for multi-channel notification systems
- Build end-to-end machine learning pipelines encompassing data ingestion, feature engineering, model training, evaluation, and production serving
- Collaborate cross-functional with engineers, product managers, and data scientists to establish requirements and deliver notification solutions
- Lead the creation and execution of experimentation frameworks like A/B testing and multi-armed bandits to evaluate models and ranking strategies
- Mentor engineering team members by sharing best practices regarding distributed systems, machine learning engineering, and infrastructure design
Requirements
- Five years of experience in the job offered or a closely related occupation
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming using Python, Golang, or Java
- Experience building machine learning models with PyTorch or TensorFlow
- Fostering API design and integration utilizing REST, HTTP, Thrift, or gRPC
- Working with large-scale key-value and NoSQL storage systems such as Redis, Cassandra, and DynamoDB
- Utilizing messaging and event-driven architectures including Apache Kafka, AWS SQS, SNS, and SES
- Constructing workflows via orchestration tools like Kubeflow, Ray, Apache Airflow, and AWS Step Functions
- Handling large-scale data warehousing and analytics platforms such as Google BigQuery and Amazon Redshift
- Applying observability, logging, and monitoring solutions including Prometheus, Grafana, and AWS Cloudwatch
- Designing, executing, and analyzing A/B testing experiments to optimize performance
