In this on-site position, the chosen professional will assist in guiding daily fulfillment workflows and managing a team of pharmacy technicians. The role is well-suited for an organized individual with leadership experience who enjoys working with automated pharmacy technology and ensuring regulatory compliance. The standard work schedule for this position is Tuesday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, though schedule adjustments may occasionally occur with at least two weeks of advance notice.
Responsibilities
- Guide and mentor a team of pharmacy technicians through real-time feedback, coaching, and performance support.
- Manage onboarding, training, and ongoing skills development to maintain compliance with standard operating procedures.
- Handle scheduling and staffing needs to guarantee proper shift coverage and workflow continuity.
- Supervise the accurate and timely execution of picking, packing, and shipping processes.
- Serve as the primary contact for on-floor operational issues and escalate concerns to pharmacy leadership when necessary.
- Coordinate with pharmacists and cross-functional departments such as care, product, and operations to quickly resolve shipping and order matters.
- Operate and troubleshoot pharmacy automation equipment to support order volume.
- Enforce quality, safety, and regulatory compliance guidelines during fulfillment operations.
- Participate in workflow evaluations and help deploy operational enhancements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inspection-ready workspace.
- Assist with routine order processing and technician duties to accommodate volume demands.
- Perform additional operational tasks assigned by pharmacy leadership.
Requirements
- Active and unrestricted Florida Pharmacy Technician License
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of pharmacy technician experience
- Flexibility to occasionally shift workdays to cover holidays, team PTO, or staffing needs
