In this role, you will lead engineers who build, test, and publish base Ubuntu images designed for optimal security and performance across public cloud infrastructures.
This position suits technical leaders who combine strong management skills with a background in software development. Your primary duty centers on supporting your team members through coaching, mentorship, and career growth while maintaining high performance and healthy engineering practices. You will engage directly with commercial partners, participate in code reviews, and drive architectural leadership using Python and Golang.

Responsibilities
- Build and direct a team of engineers operating within your timezone and similar regions
- Coach, mentor, and provide feedback to develop staff members
- Contribute directly to team goals while establishing sound engineering principles
- Coordinate expectations with internal management, other engineering groups, and outside stakeholders
- Facilitate agile software development practices and maintain a collaborative culture
- Design highly reliable, automated pipelines for image publication, testing, and delivery

Requirements
