Spotify is currently seeking a Director of Engineering for its Content Platform to lead the technical direction and development of core catalog systems. Spotify designs end-to-end consumer experiences across mobile apps, desktop applications, smart speakers, TVs, and car integrations, aiming to make listening seamless for billions of users. In this position, the candidate will oversee the infrastructure responsible for defining, structuring, and governing content across the entire platform, creating a reliable source of truth for content management and reuse.
This role is well-suited for a seasoned technical leader with a background in managing multiple engineering teams through other leaders and scaling organizations effectively. The incoming director will guide the modernization of complex legacy architectures, improve system reliability, and implement automation and AI solutions to boost data quality and productivity.
