Dropbox is seeking a Business Development Manager for Strategic Partnerships to oversee and expand a portfolio covering the artificial intelligence, platform and developer, hardware, and software-as-a-service ecosystems. In this full-time, on-site role, the professional will guide the full lifecycle of alliances, from initial identification and commercial planning to launch and ongoing management. The ideal candidate has experience leveraging artificial intelligence and automation to handle routine tasks, allowing them to concentrate on high-level negotiations, strategic choices, and relationship building.

The position requires close coordination with internal teams such as product, engineering, finance, legal, marketing, and sales to deliver integrated customer experiences and manage device distribution as well as artificial intelligence agent networks. Team members interact regularly with high-level internal leaders and external executives. Success in the position is measured by the ability to drive customer acquisition, product engagement, and financial growth through impactful commercial collaborations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and expand strategic distribution and ecosystem alliances to increase customer acquisition, product usage, and revenue
  • Discover, assess, and foster commercial prospects with current and prospective collaborators
  • Develop financial models and business cases to guide investment choices and partnership approaches
  • Direct or assist in commercial negotiations while balancing financial outcomes, customer value, and strategic goals
  • Establish reliable executive connections through strategic planning, regular business reviews, and cross-functional teamwork
  • Assess collaborator performance using data, experimentation, and artificial intelligence tools to maximize commercial results
  • Collaborate across product, engineering, finance, legal, marketing, and sales departments to carry out complex partnership projects

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of professional background in business development, distribution partnerships, product management, or related commercial functions within the technology, cloud services, or software-as-a-service sectors
  • Demonstrated history of establishing and expanding strategic business alliances that produce measurable commercial outcomes
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical abilities regarding partnership return on investment and investment evaluation
  • Superior communication, negotiation, and executive presentation capabilities
  • Capacity to guide cross-functional stakeholders and operate within ambiguous, fast-moving environments
  • Background in utilizing artificial intelligence and automation technologies to enhance research, analysis, communication, and workflow productivity
