Dropbox is currently seeking a Senior Program Manager, Employee Experience to join its Virtual First team. This group investigates, tests, and refines operational methods for a distributed workforce by blending organizational research, behavioral science, technology, and employee experience insights. In this position, the professional will direct a strategic work stream dedicated to tool optimization and technology-driven operations. Responsibilities include identifying methods to boost employee effectiveness, designing research initiatives, conducting experiments, and transforming findings into scalable organizational changes. The role centers on managing multiple interconnected programs, specifically addressing knowledge management, artificial intelligence enablement, and strengthening employee confidence in technological tools. Ideal candidates bring expertise in cross-functional stakeholder management, research methodologies, and innovative workplace strategies. Success in the position involves generating new insights, formulating actionable recommendations, and producing measurable gains in employee effectiveness and technology adoption across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Own the strategy, roadmap, priorities, and outcomes for a Virtual First technology work stream encompassing tools, workflows, automations, artificial intelligence enablement, and knowledge management.
  • Design and direct organizational research, pilots, and experiments to evaluate new operational methods.
  • Convert qualitative and quantitative insights into actionable recommendations, behavioral frameworks, and operating models.
  • Oversee multiple concurrent programs from initial scoping through research, validation, and enablement planning.
  • Define clear objectives, success measures, milestones, risks, and reporting for the work stream.
  • Lead cross-functional steering committees and initiatives involving stakeholders from People, Technology, Communications, and Operations departments.
  • Collaborate with measurement experts and People Analytics to set up research methodologies and assess outcomes.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of professional background in program management, organizational effectiveness, workplace strategy, employee experience, innovation, research, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated expertise in tools and technology enablement, such as artificial intelligence adoption, knowledge management, digital workflows, automation, and technology-enabled work design.
  • Proven ability to independently lead complex, multi-functional programs from ambiguity to measurable results.
  • Practical background in designing and overseeing research, pilots, experiments, or evidence-based innovation programs.
  • Solid understanding of Virtual First, distributed, hybrid, or modern operational models.
  • Strong written, verbal, facilitation, and executive communication abilities.
  • Ability to operate comfortably in ambiguous situations and proactively identify opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Prior background working within a distributed or Virtual First organization.
  • Familiarity with organizational behavior, change management, behavioral science, workplace research, or human-centered design.
  • Demonstrated curiosity regarding the future of work and emerging technologies.
