The position suits an experienced leader who can champion user needs while preserving technical standards. Responsibilities span managing the product backlog, guiding agile ceremonies, overseeing regulatory compliance, and supervising manual testing and clinical services teams.
This opportunity functions as an independent contractor role operating on a full-time schedule. Working hours are set from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM EST or from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST on site. Responsibilities
- Serve as the main point of contact for significant system issues and inquiries regarding the product
- Collect and write down requirements sourced from clients and internal stakeholders
- Organize and rank the product backlog to prepare items for development
- Facilitate agile meetings such as sprint planning and sprint reviews
- Partner with software developers and quality assurance staff to verify proper implementation and quality
- Explain the value of newly introduced features to both internal personnel and customers
- Supervise and mentor the product owner team by setting goals and evaluating performance
- Manage internal operational tools including developer time-off and assignment trackers
- Manage system certification procedures including ONC, Surescripts, and MDToolbox or DEA
- Supervise the productivity and structure of the manual testing team
- Direct Merit-based Incentive Payment System services to align with financial goals and maintain compliance
Requirements
- Extensive background in collecting, documenting, and explaining functional, technical, reporting, and data requirements
- Demonstrated history of designing, implementing, and delivering technology products successfully
- Deep working knowledge of agile methodologies, including breaking down epics into actionable stories
- Experience using Jira and working with cloud-based architectures
- Proven ability to conduct user research and synthesize insights through user flows and personas
- Capability to manage competing priorities and make sound decisions under pressure
- Experience utilizing data and analytics to guide product choices
- Leadership experience that includes managing and mentoring team members
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in healthcare or health technology focused on medical practices
