Ramp is seeking a Technical Consultant, Mid-Market to help commercial and mid-growth clients integrate automated financial infrastructure. As a key partner on the frontlines, this professional acts as a crucial bridge between customers and internal technical divisions, guiding accounts through complex configurations, system architectures, and API implementations. The employer builds smart transaction and spend management software that automates money flow, risk detection, and accounting processes for tens of thousands of businesses.

This opportunity suits candidates who possess strong technical expertise alongside exceptional communication abilities, allowing them to translate complicated system logic into clear business value for finance and operations stakeholders. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with onboarding specialists, partnering with product teams to influence roadmaps based on user feedback, and troubleshooting integration challenges without writing code directly. Professionals in this position will operate within a fast-paced setting, addressing high-stakes integration workflows while maintaining a bias toward action and deep personal ownership.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a technical advisor to clients and internal groups during high-value implementations and expansion phases
  • Partner with Customer Activation and Account Management teams to evaluate customer needs and propose scalable ERP, HRIS, and API solutions
  • Collaborate with onboarding specialists and implementation leads to support technical workstreams
  • Help customers resolve technical hurdles by recommending proper product configurations and integration options
  • Participate in technical discovery sessions to advise on best-fit Ramp architecture and API utilization
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for integration partners and advocate for product development aligned with user needs
  • Troubleshoot integration blockers and guide clients through complex configuration choices without direct coding
  • Contribute to internal documentation and tooling to support a growing customer base
  • Channel user pain points and feedback to Product and Engineering teams to influence the product roadmap

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in technical consulting, solutions engineering, implementation, or a similar customer-facing technical function within a SaaS or fintech environment
  • Familiarity with enterprise resource planning systems and finance workflows
  • Ability to work with APIs, integration logic, and system architecture
  • Strong communication skills to explain technical solutions to finance and operations stakeholders
  • Collaborative mindset for cross-functional teamwork with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, finance, business, or a related field
  • Expertise in SAP S/4HANA or Sage Intacct
