The organization is currently seeking a Staff Machine Learning Engineer to join the Identity Verification team within the Platform group on a full-time, remote basis. This position suits an experienced technologist prepared to drive the technical direction of critical verification infrastructure in a demanding environment.
In this capacity, the professional will govern machine learning frameworks that validate users, documents, and capture sessions. Responsibilities include managing the complete lifecycle of identity verification systems, creating identity graphs via graph neural networks, and developing behavioral intelligence models. Additionally, the engineer will steer vendor strategies, assess third-party models, and mentor engineering staff.
Candidates must possess extensive expertise in deploying large-scale production machine learning systems, deep knowledge of Python and TensorFlow or PyTorch, and specific domain experience in biometrics, identity verification, or account integrity.
Responsibilities
- Manage the complete identity verification machine learning stack from feature pipelines to production enforcement.
- Construct identity-graph systems utilizing graph neural networks to spot synthetic-identity rings and coordinated fraud.
- Create behavioral and device-intelligence models for anomaly detection and bot classification at real-time speed.
- Steer vendor machine learning strategies by benchmarking external models and establishing evaluation layers.
- Guide and mentor senior and mid-level engineers while collaborating with internal platform and risk teams.
Requirements
- Possess at least 8 years of experience deploying production machine learning systems at scale.
- Demonstrate domain expertise in biometrics, identity verification, or account integrity.
- Bring applied machine learning knowledge in at least two areas: computer vision or biometrics, graph neural networks, sequence models, or natural language processing and large language models.
- Demonstrate expert-level Python skills alongside production experience using TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Show a history of translating know-your-customer and anti-money laundering requirements into machine learning roadmaps.
