As a Senior AI Engineer, you will function as an early team member helping to establish technical directions and priorities. Your core function involves creating agentic workflows, AI-driven developer tools, and shared infrastructure that accelerate software delivery. You will collaborate directly with engineering departments to discover challenges, run experiments, build production-grade solutions, and drive adoption.
This opportunity suits a hands-on developer who possesses practical AI production background alongside full-stack and backend competencies. Initial priorities for the role include automated code reviews, testing frameworks, crash triage systems, and underlying vendor integrations or cost management infrastructure. You will report directly to the Senior Engineering Manager for AI Enablement, owning projects from concept through deployment and continuous iteration.
Responsibilities
- Partner with engineering departments to discover high-impact automation opportunities and design practical workflow solutions

- Build evaluation frameworks and feedback loops to monitor reliability, software quality, and productivity impacts
- Produce reusable plugins, integrations, and architectural patterns supporting backend, web, iOS, and Android teams
- Drive internal adoption through training, documentation, and close collaboration
- Collaborate with Product, Design, Security, Platform, and Quality Engineering to set technical guardrails and evaluate build versus buy decisions
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional software engineering background with solid full-stack and backend fundamentals
- Demonstrated experience designing and maintaining complex production-grade systems
- Hands-on background building, deploying, and supporting professional AI systems or agentic workflows used by teams
- Practical depth working with large language models, agentic workflows, tool utilization, information retrieval, and system evaluations
- Ability to independently transform ambiguous technical problems into reliable solutions and drive them to adoption
- Clear communication skills for collaborating across teams and translating user needs into technical architecture
Qualifications
- Prior background working in developer experience, developer tooling, or platform enablement
- Direct technical familiarity with iOS or Android mobile development
