Figma is seeking a Product Designer, CMS to join its Content Management Systems team and help shape the future of digital creation. Figma provides a collaborative platform that enables teams to brainstorm, prototype, translate design into code, and iterate together in real time from anywhere in the world. In this role, you will focus on building foundational experiences that help organize, manage, and deliver content across the platform.

This position is ideal for a systems thinker who enjoys blending visual craft with technical depth. You will turn ambiguous problem spaces into clear solutions, prototype early and often, and collaborate directly with engineers, product managers, and researchers. The role requires a candidate who uses code as part of the design process to explore interactions and test ideas rapidly.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver end-to-end user experiences for managing and delivering content across Figma products
  • Partner with engineering teams to develop platform capabilities and technical infrastructure for CMS initiatives
  • Transform intricate, technical systems into clear and elegant user interfaces
  • Build functional prototypes early to test concepts and communicate interaction decisions
  • Contribute to product strategy and long-term planning using data, customer insights, and technical knowledge
  • Collaborate across departments with researchers, product managers, and developers throughout development
  • Elevate organizational standards through design critiques, feedback, and mentorship

Requirements

  • At least four years of professional experience designing user experience and interface for complex software products
  • Strong visual and interaction design skills focused on systems thinking and simplifying complexity
  • Experience using code in the design process to build working prototypes and test ideas
  • Demonstrated ability to make rapid decisions, test points of view, and adjust course independently
  • Skill in defining clear product direction in ambiguous environments using user research and data
  • Track record of steering design projects independently from discovery through to launch

Qualifications

  • Experience building software via coding, AI-assisted development, or other technical methods
  • Background in designing content management systems, asset platforms, or foundational products
  • Familiarity with developer tools, APIs, SDKs, or highly technical experiences
  • Previous contributions to or design work for open-source software
