The organization is currently hiring a Partner Manager, Consumer Fintech Partnerships to take charge of strategic fintech relationships that drive consumer financial offerings for small businesses and workers paid through the platform.
This position rests inside the Product Partnerships group, which operates within the Corporate Development department. The person in this role will act as the primary contact for key fintech partners, driving partnership growth, handling contract renewals, and managing executive relationships. Success in this position requires working cross-functional teams including product, engineering, finance, legal, operations, and corporate development. Candidates should expect to leverage artificial intelligence tools for workflow automation, data analysis, and decision preparation.
The role suits professionals with strong executive presence and communication capabilities who can balance the needs of business buyers and end consumers. Eligible staff are expected to work in a hybrid model, attending designated offices two to three days per week if located near Denver, San Francisco, or New York. Responsibilities
- Own the overall strategy, performance metrics, and executive relationships for assigned consumer fintech partners
- Formulate and implement partnership plans that align with company objectives while leading regular reviews to foster long-term value
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts across Product, Engineering, Finance, Legal and Compliance, Operations, and Corporate Development
- Utilize data platforms and artificial intelligence tools to analyze partner metrics, automate repetitive workflows, and prepare for negotiations
- Identify and resolve gaps regarding product capabilities, economic terms, coverage, and scalability, including managing contract renewals
- Act as the main escalation path for addressing strategic issues with partners
Requirements
- Bring at least 6 years of total professional work experience
- Possess a minimum of 3 years of direct experience in platform partnerships, fintech partnerships, or strategic account management
- Demonstrate hands-on background managing complex consumer financial services or fintech collaborations such as payments, banking, insurance, or taxes
- Show proven capability to drive partnership growth through both direct ownership and cross-functional influence
