In this position, you will develop and manage the models, systems, and automation supporting the corporate business intelligence platforms, with a focus on Looker and Sigma. This role suits professionals who enjoy solving complex technical data problems and want to help build a unified BI experience across DoorDash, Deliveroo, and Wolt. You will oversee the semantic layer, build self-service administration tools, and maintain data governance. Responsibilities
- Manage and improve the semantic layer of business intelligence platforms, including LookML and Canvas BI models, metrics, dimension definitions, and governance rules
- Build and operate the Looker and Sigma environments, handling workspace configuration, permissions, user attributes, content lifecycles, and API-driven automation
- Develop self-service tooling to eliminate manual administration tasks by utilizing usage analytics to determine what to build or automate next
- Contribute to platform migrations and deprecations across DoorDash, Deliveroo, and Wolt while preserving data integrity, governance, and business continuity
- Handle operational support, production debugging, and incident response for the BI stack while resolving root causes
- Promote engineering standards such as version control, code review, continuous integration, and testing for models and platform code
Requirements
- Minimum of three years of professional experience in business intelligence engineering, analytics engineering, data engineering, or a comparable code-first data discipline
- Demonstrated proficiency in Python and SQL
- Practical experience utilizing AI tools including LLMs, agentic workflows, and AI-assisted development to enhance engineering output
- Hands-on background building, modeling, and configuring BI platforms like Looker with LookML or Sigma
- Experience working with semantic or metrics layers such as LookML or dbt to maintain consistent definitions across reused assets
- Experience managing production code through version control, code review, continuous integration, debugging live issues, and providing operational support
- Strong communication capabilities and the ability to self-organize in a distributed, fast-paced environment involving both technical and non-technical partners
Qualifications
- Experience working with modern data warehousing platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, or Redshift, alongside performance optimization skills
- Experience automating BI administration using platform APIs or managing identity and access via Okta, SCIM, and role-based access controls
- Experience supporting a business intelligence stack across multiple brands, tenants, or regions, or leading a platform migration
