Ro seeks an Analytics Engineer to advance Conversational Analytics within the organization. Ro operates a vertically integrated digital health platform combining telehealth, diagnostics, pharmacy, and logistics to serve patients. This hybrid role is based in New York and is structured as a full-time position.

The position suits individuals who thrive in a startup environment and enjoy tackling unstructured problems without established solutions. During the initial months, the chosen candidate will immerse themselves in daily analyst workflows alongside a stakeholder team to build business context and relationships. Afterwards, the work shifts toward developing semantic models, data models, documentation, and evaluation tools that enable non-technical stakeholders to leverage conversational analytics safely and effectively. Candidates should possess a bias for action, strong communication abilities, and an inclination toward continuous learning.

Responsibilities

  • Spend the first two to three months embedded with a stakeholder team handling daily analytics work and building business fluency
  • Construct foundational data models, semantic models, documentation, and context supporting conversational analytics across multiple domains
  • Tackle unstructured problems by creating standardized semantic models and core analytic frameworks
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to pinpoint opportunities and establish standardized data solutions
  • Educate colleagues on best practices for applying large language models to data tasks and distill successful methods into training materials
  • Build and maintain artificial intelligence evaluations for conversational analytics to track programmatic accuracy and gather user feedback

Requirements

  • Four or more years of full-time quantitative analysis experience
  • Previous data modeling experience utilizing DBT
  • Hands-on background leveraging large language models for coding, analytics, and building data products
  • Expert level SQL proficiency
  • Familiarity with business intelligence applications such as Hex and Looker
  • Strong communication, teaching, and problem-solving skills with numerical dexterity
  • Proven track record of project ownership

Qualifications

  • Experience with artificial intelligence evaluation of large language model tools
  • Background in developing data pipelines and associated processes
  • Data analysts with relevant project experience and interest in transitioning to analytics engineering are welcome to apply
