Operating as a family company with offices across multiple countries, the organization specializes in research, IT consulting, application management, system integration, and software design to guide clients through digital transformations. This opportunity is well-suited for technology professionals experienced in banking environments who excel at transforming client workflows into structured technical solutions. Team members collaborate closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, business analysts, and fellow software engineers to design, build, test, and maintain applications while upholding strict quality and timeline standards. Candidates will evaluate various scenarios, recommend optimal IT methods, handle client interactions during testing phases, and manage issue resolution and change requests.
Please note that a fully remote work policy is unavailable for this opening. Applicants must be ready to relocate to Canton Ticino in Switzerland or to the Italian border regions situated near Switzerland. Responsibilities
- Assess client workflows and requests to produce organized technical requirements
- Evaluate alternative scenarios and propose optimal business and IT strategies
- Design, create, document, and maintain team applications
- Implement and test newly developed features
- Investigate and handle client issues, bug fixes, and change requests
- Interact with clients during the testing phase
- Partner with Scrum Masters, Product Owners, business analysts, and engineers
- Deliver high-quality work aligned with project timelines and goals
Requirements
- Demonstrated background working within the banking industry
- Extensive practical experience in PL/SQL development
- Ability to review technical needs and produce maintainable, robust solutions
- Fluent communication skills in both spoken and written Italian and English
- Willingness to relocate to Canton Ticino or the Italian border areas near Switzerland
Qualifications
- Scientific university degree or master in computer science, engineering, or a related field
- Familiarity with SWIFT messaging standards including MT and MX formats
- Programming background in Java or J2EE
- Familiarity with SQL, relational databases, Database Management Systems, and ETL workflows
