The individual will collaborate closely with various internal divisions including Proactive Security, Infrastructure, Legal, and Communications.
The position is available at Robinhood offices located in Bellevue, Washington; Menlo Park, California; and Denver, Colorado. Personnel are required to work on site at least three days per week. The role involves participating in a rotational on-call schedule to ensure ongoing operational readiness and threat monitoring.
Responsibilities
- Manage and command security incident response workstreams to contain threats and measure impact
- Design, tune, and maintain the global detection catalog across cloud and Kubernetes platforms
- Develop the Autonomic Security Operations roadmap by integrating AI agents and automated issue discovery
- Analyze complex multi-language source code to locate security weaknesses and advise on fixes
- Mentor engineering personnel and cultivate technical proficiency within the group
- Take part in a one-week on-call rotation to support real-time operations
Requirements
- Minimum of eight years of professional background in Detection and Response, Incident Response, or Security Operations
- Demonstrated ability to direct complex security incidents under pressure while communicating with leadership
- Advanced technical background in securing cloud infrastructure with an emphasis on Kubernetes
- Proficiency in reading, analyzing, and reasoning through code across multiple programming languages
- Track record of creating and managing detection engineering pipelines, SOAR playbooks, and AI technologies
- Practical background in building agentic AI workflows designed for security operations
- Capacity to operate effectively in fast-moving, high-growth environments
Qualifications
- Hands-on background in Threat Hunting, Threat Intelligence, Vulnerability Management, or Red Team operations
- Prior professional history within high-growth fintech companies, crypto platforms, or managed security service providers
- Familiarity with decentralized finance, blockchain technology, and related tools
