Pinterest operates a visual discovery and inspiration platform utilized by millions of individuals worldwide. The organization is currently seeking a Sr. IT Project and Program Manager, Asset Management to join its IT Vendor and Asset Management team on a full-time basis.

This position requires working out of the San Francisco or Palo Alto office, specifically requiring on-site presence once per week for collaborative purposes. Relocation assistance is not offered for this opening.

The person in this role will guide the evolution of Pinterest's managed-service model, overseeing external service delivery partners and maintaining service-level accountability. Key duties include developing reporting programs, managing vendor contracts in partnership with cross-functional departments, supporting asset lifecycle initiatives, and identifying cost-reduction opportunities across hardware and vendor expenses. Additionally, the role involves integrating artificial intelligence into daily operational workflows and acting as a backup Scrum Lead.

Candidates suited for this role should possess relevant background in IT asset management or managed service provider oversight, coupled with strong data analysis capabilities and experience applying artificial intelligence tools to everyday tasks. Responsibilities

  • Manage daily relationships with IT deployment and support service partners to drive performance and SLA compliance.
  • Design and oversee a reporting and metrics program that establishes key performance indicators and conducts regular reviews.
  • Integrate artificial intelligence into daily workflows to accelerate vendor reporting and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Finance, Legal, and Security teams to oversee vendor contracts, billing accuracy, and compliance.
  • Support asset recovery and lifecycle programs to maintain accurate reporting and optimize expenses.
  • Assess and onboard new service-delivery capacity to expand worldwide IT support coverage.
  • Collaborate with IT leadership on budgeting and forecasting for vendor services.
  • Identify and execute cost-saving initiatives related to hardware and vendor expenditures.
  • Act as a backup Scrum Lead with opportunities to transition into the primary role over time.

Requirements

  • At least three years of relevant experience in IT asset management, IT vendor management, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated background overseeing outsourced or managed service provider relationships at scale, including vendor governance and SLAs.
  • Analytical capability to construct metric programs and convert data into actionable recommendations.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functional with Procurement, Finance, Legal, and Security.
  • Practical experience integrating artificial intelligence into day-to-day operations and evaluating its impact.
  • Ability to commute to either the San Francisco or Palo Alto office for required weekly in-person collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with metrics, ticketing, or support tools such as Zendesk.
