This remote-first position focuses on scaling the company data platform to handle expanding volumes of blockchain information.
In this capacity, the selected engineer will design distributed systems, manage data ingestion and decoding, and optimize platform performance. The role suits engineers with a solid computer science foundation who enjoy tackling architectural challenges in large-scale distributed databases and SQL processing. Team members write code primarily in Kotlin and Go, alongside some Java and Rust, while utilizing artificial intelligence for incident diagnosis and automation.

Responsibilities
- Design and build distributed systems while participating in key architectural decisions
- Tackle technical problems related to very large databases, distributed systems, SQL processing, data modeling, and performance
- Take ownership of specific platform components including data decoding and ingestion
- Write code primarily in Go and Kotlin, plus some Rust and Java, emphasizing clean design and performance
- Enhance the internal developer experience by improving integration tests, local test configurations, and incremental deployments
- Automate incident resolution and diagnosis using artificial intelligence
- Collaborate within a fast-moving engineering team building AI automation agents
Requirements
- Generalist programming background with foundational computer science knowledge
- Familiarity with distributed system design, or strong motivation to learn
- Familiarity with blockchain technology and remote procedure call interactions
- Experience working with data lakes and formats such as Delta, Parquet, and Iceberg
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Coding experience in at least one JVM language
