The ideal candidate is ready to collaborate with product managers and experienced engineers to build, test, and enhance production systems using continuous integration and deployment, A/B testing, and extensive data analytics. You will work with modern infrastructure and data tools including Java, Spark, Kafka, Kubernetes, Docker, BigQuery, and Airflow.

Responsibilities

Build software infrastructure and components serving numerous websites and over 1.4 billion users
Construct and upkeep real-time, high-scale systems managing over half a million requests every second and 100TB of daily data
Partner with product managers and seasoned software engineers to design and roll out new features
Utilize CI/CD, A/B testing, and massive datasets to create, evaluate, and upgrade production applications
Leverage tools like Java, Spark, Kafka, Kubernetes, Docker, BigQuery, and Airflow
Evaluate system performance metrics to enhance reliability, scalability, and efficiency

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or an equivalent degree
Solid computer science foundation covering object-oriented design, systems, data structures, and multithreading
Programming background in Java or an alternative object-oriented language
Familiarity with SQL, data analysis, and Big Data principles
Practical, project-based, or academic exposure to large distributed systems
Familiarity with Generative AI coding assistants

Qualifications

Background in Big Data solutions such as Kafka or Spark
Familiarity with cloud platforms, containerization, or distributed system infrastructure
