Robinhood is seeking a Software Developer Intern, iOS for the Summer 2027 term to help expand its mobile experience. Working within an Apple Design Award-winning team, the intern will build stable, reliable, and polished features used daily by millions of customers.
This position is based out of the Toronto, Ontario office. Staff are expected to work on-site at least three days per week to support collaboration and innovation.
Throughout the internship, the individual will handle feature development from initial conception through design review, coding, and final release. The role involves partnering closely with backend engineers, product managers, product designers, and data specialists. Candidates will utilize modern tools and frameworks to tackle complex engineering challenges in the financial technology sector.
Responsibilities
- Develop smooth and reliable mobile features using Swift along with recent iOS and watchOS APIs
- Manage the complete lifecycle of features from initial concept through design feedback, implementation, and launch
- Partner with product designers, product managers, backend engineers, and data developers
- Utilize technologies including UIKit, Auto Layout, RxSwift, Core Graphics, Core Animation, Lottie, Core Data, and a VIPER-esque architecture
Requirements
- Enrollment in a full-time, degree-seeking educational program
- Expected graduation date of Winter 2027 or Spring 2028
- Strong product sense alongside experience collaborating closely with product designers
- Deep understanding of UIKit
- Excellent communication skills and enthusiasm for solving difficult technical issues
- Ability to work on-site in Toronto, ON at least three days per week
