The Software Platform division focuses on improving developer speed and system dependability through foundational engineering tools. Specifically, the Compute team creates and maintains a Kubernetes-driven container environment designed for scalability across multiple geographic regions.
As a Senior Software Engineer, Kubernetes Compute, the chosen candidate will direct efforts toward developing and managing container provisioning systems. Responsibilities include building resilient infrastructure, executing a migration to Amazon EKS, and coordinating with other technical teams to integrate networking and security features.
This position is situated at the company facility located in Bellevue, Washington. Individuals must report to the physical office a minimum of three days each week. Applicants must hold status as either a United States citizen or a lawful permanent resident.

Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate scalable container infrastructure using Kubernetes
- Contribute to the migration of core workloads to Amazon EKS with zero downtime
- Optimize container lifecycle management, cluster provisioning APIs, and networking
- Collaborate across engineering groups to integrate service mesh, load balancing, and authentication
- Detect production performance bottlenecks and implement automated solutions for higher availability
Requirements
- Strong proficiency with Kubernetes control plane and data plane components
- Experience managing, deploying, and debugging large-scale distributed systems or container platforms in production
- Familiarity with AWS services and Amazon EKS
- Knowledge of container networking, cluster security protocols, and open-source cloud-native tools
- Ability to systematically execute technical projects and guide team members
